How We Make Money

Last updated: April 2026 · We believe radical transparency is a competitive advantage.

Short version: Priqo earns money two ways — (1) affiliate commissions when you click our product links and make a purchase, and (2) Premium subscriptions. We never sell your data. Every affiliate link is labeled. We never use hidden tricks.

1. Our Two Revenue Streams

Stream 1 — Affiliate Commissions (Free to You)

When you click a product link shown by Priqo and complete a purchase, the retailer pays us a small commission — typically 1%–10% depending on the product category. This commission comes from the retailer's marketing budget. It does not increase the price you pay.

Priqo participates in affiliate programs with the following retailers:

Retailer Affiliate Network Commission Source From Extension? Status
Amazon Amazon Associates Editorial links on priqo.app only No — web only Active
Walmart Impact.com URL parameter injection Yes Pending approval
Target Impact.com URL parameter injection Yes Pending approval
Best Buy Impact.com URL parameter injection Yes Pending approval

Note on Impact.com programs: Priqo's applications to the Walmart, Target, and Best Buy affiliate programs via Impact.com are currently pending approval. While awaiting approval, the extension shows comparison search links to these retailers for your convenience, but no affiliate parameters are injected into those URLs until program approval is confirmed. This page will be updated as programs are activated.

Stream 2 — Priqo Premium ($4.99/month)

Priqo Premium is a paid subscription that unlocks unlimited AI review summaries, price drop alerts, full price history charts, and priority support. No ads. No data selling. The free tier remains permanently free with 20 AI summaries/month.

2. Amazon Associates — How Our Compliance Works

Priqo is a proud participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for sites to earn advertising fees by advertising and linking to Amazon.com.

As an Amazon Associate, I earn from qualifying purchases.

Why Amazon works differently from other retailers

Amazon's Associates Operating Agreement, Section 5(a), prohibits browser extensions from injecting affiliate tags into Amazon URLs without prior express written approval from Amazon. Specifically, Amazon also prohibits "Redirecting Links" — any link that sends users to Amazon indirectly without requiring an affirmative user action on an intermediate page.

To comply fully with these rules, Priqo has implemented the following architecture:

  • The Priqo Chrome extension opens amazon.com/dp/{ASIN} with no affiliate tag in the URL.
  • The extension source code contains no Amazon affiliate tag constant — it does not exist anywhere in the codebase.
  • Amazon prices shown in the extension popup are purely informational for price comparison purposes.
  • Amazon Associates links — where Priqo may earn a commission — exist only on this website (priqo.app) in editorial content, such as product roundups, buyer's guides, and deal articles, where you must actively click the link.

This architecture is the same model used by compliant price-tracking tools and editorial shopping sites. It ensures that every Amazon commission earned by Priqo results from a genuine, voluntary user action on this website — not from automatic tag injection.

Where Amazon Affiliate Links Appear on priqo.app

Amazon Associates links appear in the following types of editorial content on this website:

3. Impact.com — Extension Affiliate Model (Walmart, Target, Best Buy)

Unlike Amazon, Impact.com (which manages the affiliate programs for Walmart, Target, and Best Buy) does not restrict browser extensions from including affiliate parameters in product URLs. This is the standard model used by shopping comparison and cashback extensions industry-wide.

Priqo has applied to the Walmart, Target, and Best Buy programs via Impact.com. Affiliate parameters will only be appended once each program is officially approved. Until then, the extension provides direct comparison search links to these retailers without any commission tracking.

How it will work once approved

When the extension shows you a Walmart, Target, or Best Buy product link, it appends a Priqo affiliate parameter to the URL. If you make a purchase during that session, the retailer attributes a small commission to Priqo — at no additional cost to you.
